We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills, contribute to key financial operations, and grow within a supportive organization committed to excellence. Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliations. Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing journal entries and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Conduct cash flow analysis to monitor financial performance and assist with budgeting. Help prepare tax documents and support the team with filings as required. Collaborate on governmental accounting projects while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Use accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage for day-to-day financial tasks. Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including debits and credits. Participate in audits by preparing and submitting required documentation and reports. Qualifications & Experience A degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is essential. Experience with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) accounting is a plus, but not required. Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage is highly desirable. Familiarity with general ledger reconciliation and tax preparation processes is preferred. Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to multi-task , prioritize responsibilities, and work effectively in a team environment . Why Join Us?
