Job Duties:
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with business management policies and procedures. Post journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and manage budgeting, cash management, and workers’ compensation audits. Conduct financial analysis, long-term cash flow analysis, and P&L reporting. Monitor insurance renewals and claims for both institutional and individual clients. Deliver weekly client communications, including cash reports and business updates. Assist in the review and summarization of client agreements. Oversee budget creation, shareholder payroll, and 1099 reporting. Support new client onboarding procedures and execution. Collaborate with management on estate planning, asset purchases, and investment tracking. Monitor cash management activities, including credit card transactions, fraud alerts, and credit score issues. Review and ensure accuracy of work performed by Staff Accountants (AP/AR, cash receipts, payroll, etc.). Oversee preparation and processing of commission calculations and payments. Assist in payroll processing and oversee related journal entries. Maintain a log of all filings and reported information to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients’ Trusted Advisors to address financial matters. Ensure annual financial statements meet tax return qualification requirements. Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.
Job Requirements:
Ability to reliably commute and report to the office. 5+ years of accounting experience within a public accounting firm OR 5+ years of bookkeeping experience for high net-worth individuals. BS in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or Music Business with strong academic record. QuickBooks accounting experience (online or desktop are acceptable – both are preferred)
