Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and managing the preparation of financial reports. This role involves overseeing general ledger activities, preparing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring the timely completion of month-end and year-end close processes. The Senior Staff Accountant plays a key role in maintaining internal controls, analyzing financial data, and supporting audits.
Essential Job functions:
Provide accounting support to multiple record label, publishing, and management companies under the Hybe family of companies Complete month-end close tasks as assigned including preparation of journal entries, analysis, and accruals Prepare balance sheet reconciliations to support audits and close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports Standardize, streamline, and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and Sarbanes-Oxley Monitor and analyze accounting data to provide insights for decision-making Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies and procedures, financial regulations, and contractual obligations Provide necessary documentation/support and leverage accounting knowledge/skillset to support external and internal audits Collaborate and enhance partnerships between accounting and the other departments Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices Escalating risks and issues as necessary to leadership Required experience: 5+ years of experience in accounting with at least 2 years as Senior Accountant, or 2+ years of public accounting at Big 4/Regional Firm Music industry or entertainment sector preferred Required skills: Proven experience as a general ledger accountant, auditor or similar accounting role Proficiency in understanding the entire recording to reporting processes. Strong knowledge of accounting principles with the ability to implement and enforce financial and reporting policies and standards in compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and Sarbanes-Oxley. ERP systems experience with a preference towards SAP Proven experience in working with a team, setting performance goals, and managing workloads. Ability to prioritize effectively, meet tight deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Ability to identify process improvement and automation opportunities to drive positive change across the organization. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong computer skills and highly proficient with Microsoft Excel (advanced). Strong communication and effective interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Master’s degree in Accounting preferred CPA certification preferred.

This role will oversee the Accounting Operations team in their day-to-day responsibilities and overall departmental goals.
