Senior Project Accountant This role will start remote but eventually be a hybrid work environment based in Nashville, TN. We are looking for a Senior Project Accountant to manage accounting and analysis for construction projects. The ideal candidate has expertise in project-based accounting, multi-location operations, and experience in construction, landscaping, engineering, or design/build industries. This role requires strong analytical skills, revenue recognition knowledge, and the ability to communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders. Responsibilities:
Manage project accounting across multiple locations, ensuring compliance with ASC606. Create and present financial reports for non-financial audiences. Advise project managers on financial impacts of operational changes. Align project financials with annual plans and support decision-making. Improve project accounting processes for efficiency and standardization. Handle month-end close tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations. Implement best practices in project accounting and cost tracking. Optimize accounting software and tools for better accuracy and efficiency. Prepare materials for audits, trainings, and ad hoc analysis.
