Sr. Accountant Position Available In Davidson, Tennessee

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Nashville, Tennessee. The Sr. Accountant will be an integral part of our team, focusing on various accounting tasks, including account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and month-end close procedures.
This position is also open to Staff Accountants ready to take the next step in their career.
HYBRID (3 days in office, 2 days remote)

Responsibilities:

• Regularly maintain and update financial records.
• Conduct accurate bank reconciliations.
• Review payments on a weekly basis.
• Execute month-end close processes efficiently.
• Ensure all bank and loan statements are downloaded and saved.
• Prepare balance sheet tie outs and inventory valuation to balance sheet reconciliation.
• Handle the capitalization of fixed assets in Work in Progress (WIP).
• Prepare allocation Journal Entries (JE’s).
• Complete borrowing base and actual vs budget files.
• Prepare and update debt schedule and run amortization Journal Entries.
• Review Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) aging and provide relevant comments.
• Record tax accrual Journal Entry and book all accrued interests.
• Document amazon Journal Entries and record accrued bonuses.
• Review rent income and expenses in detail.
• Ensure all balance sheet and Profit & Loss (P& L) accounts are reviewed.
• Prevent any transactions from hitting the suspense accounts.
• Assist with audit and tax filings annually.
• Review 1099s on a yearly basis.
  These responsibilities will require proficiency in skills like Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.
  Requirements
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is necessary for this role.
• The candidate should be experienced in Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
• Expertise in Bank Reconciliations is required.
• The applicant should possess strong skills in handling the General Ledger.
• The ability to create accurate Journal Entries is critical for this position.
• The candidate should be adept at using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks.
• Experience in Month End Close activities is a key requirement.
• Familiarity with NetSuite is preferred.
