Job Description
With massive growth ahead for Wealth Access, we’re looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily functions of the accounting department, including preparing and reconciling accounts, maintaining accurate general ledger records, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and posting of journal entries.
Reconcile bank statement and general ledger accounts.
Support the month-end and year-end close process.
Process vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
Reviewing and processing vendor invoices
Verifying the accuracy of charges and proper approval
Reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies
Scheduling and processing payments in a timely manner
Help maintain organized accounting files and documentation.
Support with external audits by preparing schedules and gathering required documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
At least two years’ experience in accounting or a related field
Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency within Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems (QuickBooks, Sage Intacct)
