Sr. Accountant Position Available In Hamilton, Tennessee

Description This search is being conducted by Steve Spinello. A leading healthcare management company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their organization. The Senior Accountant will lead a small team in managing the month-end close, financial reporting, and business advisement for a group of locations. This is a broad based role that provides guidance and support for junior team members, as well as serving as the financial business partner for operations.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitation of staff training and providing guidance on their monthly tasks
• Assisting in the preparation and development of annual budgets in collaboration with clients
• Overseeing and maintaining precise records of facility financial activity
• Analyzing monthly Profit and Loss statements and preparing financial notes for clients
• Ensuring clear communication between all parties involved, including team members, management, and clients
• Serving as a resource within the organization, including participation in the onboarding of new employees
• Handling ad hoc projects and reporting as required
• Conducting audits, reviews, and assisting in tax file preparation
• Conducting regular meetings with clients to discuss monthly financials and address any questions or concerns
• Implementing and recommending new processes to improve workflow within the team.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
• Extensive knowledge and experience in managing General Ledger and Journal Entries
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• ERP experience
• Ability to prepare Financial Statements
• Experience with audit compliance
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
