Job Description

Senior Accountant
We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an Accountant in Knoxville, Tennessee. This role is in the accounting industry, and the workplace fosters collaboration and inclusivity. As an Accountant, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that require detail-oriented and meticulous work.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research on accounting standards, tax laws, and best practices to provide accurate guidance to clients and internal teams
  • Utilize QuickBooks software for bookkeeping, tracking expenses, and generating reports
  • Assist with payroll preparation and processing for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Monitor accounts receivables, generate billing reports, and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Process accounts payable invoices and payments
  • Create, review, and post journal entries while ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards
  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements to assist clients with informed decision-making and compliance requirements
  • Perform accurate and timely bank reconciliations to ensure accounts are up-to-date and discrepancies are resolved efficiently

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as an Accountant
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
  • Thorough understanding and practical experience with Accounting Functions
  • Demonstrable experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Skilled in managing Balance Sheet Account
  • Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations
  • Ability to conduct Monthly Bank Reconciliation
  • Capability to manage Month End Close activities
  • Proficiency in using QuickBooks
  • Familiarity with HR Payroll System
