Staff Accountant
We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the organization’s financial operations. This position is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail and a solid foundation in accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure proper financial record-keeping.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Conduct check runs and ensure timely processing of payments.
- Record and apply payments to customer accounts accurately.
- Manage payroll processing and address any related discrepancies.
- Utilize Deltek Costpoint software for various accounting tasks and reporting.
- Create and maintain detailed spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data.
