Accountant – Job Overview The Accountant plays a key role in financial operations, overseeing month-end processes, conducting rate analysis, managing incentives, and ensuring accurate financial report distribution. This position requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to support financial accuracy and decision-making. Accountant – Key Responsibilites Support Senior Accountants with month-end processes, including journal entries, research, and data entry.
Prepare financial statements and supporting scles.
Calculate and reconcilepensation for payroll submission per contract requirements.
Manage contract-based billing and accounts receivable invoices.
Monitor A/R balances, follow up on past-due invoices, and prepare aging reports for management.
Collaborate with the Treasury department to resolve payment posting issues and identify unapplied payments.
Code accounts payable invoices and conduct AP research.
Assist analysts withpensation calculations and reviews as needed.
Conduct month-end financial reviews, resolving discrepancies and ensuring accuracy.
Complete special projects and other tasks as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
Accountant –
Qualifications & Skills Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
1-3 years of accounting experience.
Proficiency in spreadsheet applications and database management (Lawson’s experience is a plus).
Skills & Abilities:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities.
Highlyanized with strong attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Office-based role in a well-lit, modern setting.
Prolonged sitting andputer use.
