Payroll & Benefits Accountant Florim USA 300 International Boulevard, Clarksville, TN 37040

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Payroll and Benefits Accountant is responsible for supporting payroll and benefits functions, including processing payroll, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. This role works closely with HR and Finance to ensure accurate reporting and employee support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Payroll Administration o Process multi-state payroll for salaried employees. o Validate payroll data, including tax rates, deductions, and benefits contributions. o Coordinate with international teams to manage payroll for Italian expatriates. o Ensure HRIS is correctly setup for timely filing and payment of payroll taxes in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Accounting and Reconciliation o Prepare month-end journal entries related to payroll and benefits. o Reconcile general ledger accounts related to payroll expense and liability. o Process check requests and conduct insurance reconciliations. o Maintain accurate records for audits and compliance reviews.
  • Benefits Support o Assist HR with benefits enrollment and questions.

o Monitor and resolve discrepancies with insurance carriers. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field Strong understanding of payroll processes and general ledger reconciliation Experience with payroll management systems; UKG preferred Knowledge of financial concepts and tax regulations Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Familiarity with benefits administration and accounts payable/receivable
