Expert Accounting Consultant for Project-Based Transition (QuickBooks + Project Accounting) Are you a seasoned accounting professional with deep QuickBooks expertise and a passion for streamlining project-based financial systems? We’re seeking a highly skilled Accounting Consultant to lead the transition from traditional accrual accounting to a project-based (completed contract) accounting model . This is a unique opportunity to directly influence financial operations for a growing company offering security solutions and managed services. If you’re detail-driven, systems-savvy, and ready to work alongside executive leadership—this role is for you. What You’ll Do Lead the transition from accrual to project-based accounting within QuickBooks (Online/Desktop) Prepare and post journal entries in QuickBooks using pivot table data from Excel Collaborate with project managers and executives to ensure accurate tracking, forecasting, and reporting Identify and recommend tools, add-ons, or workflows to enhance project accounting capabilities Support project cost tracking and forecasting using job costing methods What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA a plus but not required) Advanced QuickBooks and Excel proficiency Demonstrated success implementing or managing project-based accounting systems Sharp analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication Bonus Points For Experience in construction, security, or service-based industries Familiarity with job costing and time/labor allocation tools Knowledge of project management software integrations Location & Flexibility On-site presence required for initial training Flexible remote work options available thereafter Ready to help a growing company transform its accounting framework and gain clearer insight into project profitability? and bring your expertise to the table.
