Job Description

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Accountant in Memphis, Tennessee. This role will involve managing a variety of activities across Accounting, Financial Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit, and Risk Insurance. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role within our Finance team, consolidating our global activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Accurately consolidate monthly financial statements, quarterly forecasts, and annual plans for the company
  • Regularly observe specific processes for compliance with internal control policies and draft recommended updates when necessary
  • Prepare drafts of annual audited financial statements and coordinate with independent auditors on annual financial audit documentation
  • Effectively utilize fixed asset software for accounting and reporting across all domestic divisions
  • Provide comprehensive financial estimates and documentation to CPAs for federal and state tax return preparation
  • Prepare local tax returns for domestic entities, including property taxes, sales & use taxes, and annual reports
  • Support the annual budget process through consolidations, reviews, and corporate allocations
  • Administer risk insurance applications and documentation, along with overseeing payment processing for all litigation claims
  • Reconcile debt and interest expense activities for the global organization
  • Administer the corporate credit card program, including the review and audit of monthly expenses and approvals. Requirements
  • Proficient in Balance Sheet Reconciliation, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and complete.
  • Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations to confirm the company’s records align with bank statements.
  • Strong understanding of General Ledger to maintain and manage all financial transactions.
  • Expertise in preparing and posting Journal Entries to ensure accurate reflection of company’s financial status.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for creating spreadsheets, analyzing data, and developing financial reports.
  • Familiarity with Month End Close procedures to finalize accounts at the end of each accounting period.
  • Experience with SAP software for financial data management and reporting.
  • Solid knowledge of General Accounting principles to maintain financial records and prepare reports.
  • Ability to conduct Month-end Close Activities to ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Proficient in making Month-end Journal Entries to reflect all financial transactions accurately.
