JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview of the Staff Accountant role
This position will primarily be responsible for performing comprehensive reconciliations of bank accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. This position will collaborate closely with internal teams, external banks and auditors to resolve discrepancies, implement best practices and support the overall accounting team in Olive Branch. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and robust analytical and technical capabilities will be required in order to be successful. This position offers a hybrid work schedule where employees are required to work in the Olive Branch, MS office Monday – Thursday and remotely on Friday.
Responsibilities
Compare bank statements with internal financial records
Prepare detailed reconciliation reports and investigate discrepancies in a timely manner
Prepare monthly journal entries as assigned
Assist with internal and external audit request
Criteria
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (4 year degree).
1-2 years accounting experience required.
Strong technical/systems skills required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Strong analytical skills. Project management experience a plus.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong PC skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
Self-directed, critical thinker able to work independently.
Knowledge of large corporate accounting programs.
Ability to analyze data and produce reports to assist operations and management.
