Part-time Staff Accountant Fox River Accounting Services Gallatin, TN 37066 Fox River Services is not a staffing agency – this is a direct hire position. Part-time Staff Accountant This position is responsible for assuring that the day-to-day accounting processes and requirements are completed and followed. The selected Staff Accountant will be responsible for general ledger reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, following established workflow, and procedures. The position interacts regularly with management, as well as other internal customer departments, to integrate solutions to meet operational and financial goals. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multi-task, communicate effectively and maintain attention to detail in all aspects of daily tasks. Essential Functions Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts. Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information. Prepares expenses accruals; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements Prepare monthly account analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts. Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities in a timely manner. Record and post transactions, including intercompany transactions and cash application. Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files. Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information. Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential. Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Ensure all accounting records, policies, and practices are compliant with federal, state, and local government laws and regulations as well as various regulatory agencies, and Company policy. Skills and Abilities Must exhibit excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with others on a common task. Must be a self-starter with a demonstrated ability to take action, multi-task, and achieve results in a fast-paced and changing environment. Must possess exceptional computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, specifically with the use of complex formulas and functions, to include but not limited to VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables. Experience with financial ERP technologies. Detail and deadline oriented Qualifications A bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting from a 4-year accredited college is preferred. Candidates with an associate degree with an emphasis in accounting will be considered. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience within the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and accrual-basis accounting.
