Responsibilities:

Day:
This position is responsible for reporting, verification, and filing of sales tax and misc. tax returns in multiple taxing jurisdictions. This position will ensure all returns are filed timely and accurately and will assist, as needed, with audits for the tax types filed and research pertaining to sales, use, and misc. taxes. Tax Compliance (60-70%) Prepare and file sales and miscellaneous tax returns across various jurisdictions Ensure timely and accurate filings, including related journal entries and account reconciliations Monitor changes in tax rates and update tax rate files monthly Handle incoming tax notices and bills Customer/Store Support (30-40%) Respond to store and customer tax inquiries; correct and maintain tax system records Maintain detailed schedules for store and customer tax-related issues
