Job Description

The Senior Accountant works with the Controller and other members of the Finance & Accounting team to optimize the accounting function to a collaborative and efficient operation. The Senior Accountant performs full cycle accounting duties, which may include tasks such as reconciliations, recurring monthly journal entries, intercompany transactions, assisting with fixed asset management and accounting and supporting AP/AR, etc. This position will engage with team members at the parent level as well as the subsidiaries and will do advanced accounting tasks within multiple entities on different accounting platforms while we work to migrate all businesses and any new acquisitions into the global ERP (to be launched in late 2025 – 2026). This role has the potential to be hybrid upon completion of a successful 90-120 day onboarding period. Role Highlights Perform accurate and timely transaction entry, reconciliations and various bookkeeping tasks for multiple entities. Manage Accounting Assistant(s) with accounts receivable and payable management. Participates in the closing process of the monthly books. Including bank reconciliations, accrual entries, revenue recognition, etc. Maintain intercompany account balances and reconciliations. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Provide outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit. Assist with the generation of subsidiary financial statements. Assist with year-end, bank, and other regulatory audits. Create and maintain new reports to satisfy management needs Work with other accountants in the global group to be able to provide support as needed including monitoring sales tax exemption certificate process (e.g., monthly cost reports, multi-state sales (CA, etc.) tax filings (Avalara software program), inventory control, ERP maintenance) Perform other duties to support the team or company, as requested. Qualifications Associate’s degree in Accounting required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting strongly preferred. Minimum 5 years experience with Bachelor’s degree, 7 years of progressive experience with Associate’s degree. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Word. Advanced skills in Excel strongly preferred. Previous experience working in one or more accounting or ERP systems preferred. Ability to quickly learn and use new technologies and programs. Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy. Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to effectively manage time. Professional and effective communication skills. A resourceful problem solver. Ability to work effectively either independently, collaboratively, or as a member of a team.
