Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant (Vendor Funding):
Ensure accuracy of financials, review data, and understand process flows
Work cross-functionally with teams like merchandising, supply chain, and business to go over rebates, promotions, and retail media financials
Identify and implement process improvements
Oversee Vendor Funding, which involves collections of promotional activity from vendors, managing volume rebates, markdowns, and sales data
Set up and manage accounting processes for the expanding Retail Media Platform
Review and prepare complex allocations, accruals, and journal entries to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies
Lead the reconciliation process within BlackLine, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of account reconciliations in alignment with SAP data
Required Skills for Senior Accountant (Vendor Funding):
4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in industry accounting, public accounting, or internal auditing
Experience in a retail environment, automation initiatives, and SAP financial systems is highly preferred
Proficiency using Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel
Ability to manipulate data to drive and expedite project analyses and completion
Extensive knowledge of SEC requirements, GAAP and new accounting pronouncements
Experience with Alteryx, Power BI, Planning Analytics, or Tableau is a plus but not required
