JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for oversight and integration of accounting systems while ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards. Must translate business needs into technical solutions, automate processes, and enhance efficiency. Trouble shoot and support accounting department in conjunction with business needs. Partner with vendors to maintain seamless service delivery and oversees user profile management.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide oversight system administration duties for relevant accounting systems, Guide the team in managing key functions such as account reconciliation management, month-end closing tasks, automatic matching, and corresponding journal entries to ensure optimal functionality. Offer supervisory guidance in providing support to users by addressing functionality questions and resolving issues promptly. Conduct training sessions to enhance platform utilization and promote efficiency among team members. Lead the management of software maintenance and testing of program updates to ensure ongoing functionality, reliability, and alignment with user needs. Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancements, implementing solutions while maintaining strong internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance. Play a key supervisory role in developing integration strategies, overseeing testing, deployment, and post-deployment requirements to ensure seamless functionality across accounting systems. Liaise with the Information Technology department and other business areas to drive initiatives aimed at automating accounting processes across all brands. Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), company policies, and other accepted standards, fostering consistency in accounting practices. Analyze accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and proper recording of information, directing corrective entries as needed to resolve discrepancies and ensuring the integrity of the general ledger and financial statements. Support management in leading special projects, such as the implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and controls, while establishing and monitoring accounting control procedures throughout the department. Perform additional job related duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS DEGREE TYPE

OF STUDY
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Integration, or Data Analysis.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience. Experience within the cruise industry is a plus. Previous management experience in a SOX-compliant accounting environment is essential.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS
Knowledge of account reconciliation software is preferred. Familiarity with month-end closing processes. Familiarity with financial systems implementation is desirable. Experience with large ERP systems is a plus. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Keen attention to detail and ability to navigate ambiguity. Highly analytical and solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to see the “big picture.” Excellent technical communication skills for effectively explaining results and proposals to diverse audiences. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
CPA or CMA certification preferred.
