HYBRID ROLE BASED OUT OF OUR ATLANTA OFFICE
Job Purpose:

This position will provide day-to-day administrative and technical supervision to a small group of professional accountants and clerical personnel for a specific segment of accounting activity. They must have a thorough knowledge of the organization’s systems and can modify or develop new procedures to meet specialized needs as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

Rotate into new and different or supplemental accounting area(s). Develop technical proficiency of US or local GAAP in assigned accounting area(s). Experience frequent interactions with managers and directors of the Company. Review financial results for completeness by preparing various reports, schedules, and reconciliations. Act as the subject matter expert in assigned accounting area(s). Assist in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close. Maintain assigned general ledger or subsidiary ledger accounts by reviewing documents to ensure accuracy of information and calculations, preparing supporting schedules, recording appropriate journal entries consistent with US GAAP, and reconciling on a monthly basis.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes. Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy. Familiar with operating in multi-site, multi-system environments Familiar with operating as a subsidiary reporting to and facilitating accounting consolidation activities Experience with QuickBooks, or similar ERP, preferred [but not necessary Work independently on multiple projects, potentially across multiple entities.

Work Experience:

3-5 years of related experience of successful supervisory/management experience required to motivate and develop direct reports, as well as size up new talent. 5-10 years of related job experience. Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment. Ability to work quickly and efficiently. Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives. Experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timescales within the overall policy framework. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful). Strong planning and organization skills are required.
