Interaction:
Reports directly to the Division Controller. Responsible for the supervision of two non-exempt employees in the accounts receivable department. This responsibility also requires a close working relationship with other departments within the division to accomplish objectives established for the accounting function. Essential
Functions:
Insure compliance with corporate objectives and systems for accounting
Audit divisional procedures to ensure compliance relative to divisional self-assessment internal control program
Prepare and assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, reviews and analysis
Participate, coordinate and review month-end and year-end closings
Provide timely reports as required to division, group and corporate on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Maintain fixed asset inventory records including the taking and reconciling of fixed asset physical inventories in accordance with corporate accounting policies
Oversee accounts payable function
Train, develop, assist and instruct direct reports according to company policy and sound employee relations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting is required.
3-5 years of Accounting Experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
Certification or Advanced Degree Preferred Additional
