Summary Job Description :

The Trust Administrator is responsible for reconciling all financial transactions received and processed through our finance department. This position will be responsible for ensuring that all transactions performed are being handled according to defined policies and procedures, with the ability to adapt to changing demands of the department. This position will frequently collaborate with our accounting department and interact with various other departments within the Firm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Process and post daily incoming physical checks, wires, and ACH transactions to appropriate trust accounts. Prepare daily remittance reports for clients. Review and prepare client cost and fee invoices for commission fee reconciliation reporting. Reconcile e-file invoices to the charge statement and transfer cost to appropriate account. Process invoices for Fed Ex and certified mail. Manage incoming requests for cost checks and reconcile Cost account, including reversals. Prepare documentation for client audits and assist with various financial tasks and trust account projects, as needed. Annually escheating funds. All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Associate’s degree in accounting/finance or other related field, bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum 1 year of finance or accounting experience. Basic understanding of financial processes, such as reconciliations, payment posting, and distribution of funds. Strong working knowledge of Excel functions. Ability to multitask, prioritize workflow, and process high volumes of work while remaining flexible and optimistic. Strong communicator with a proactive approach to seeking clarification from colleagues and leadership. Strong attention to detail with proficient organizational skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Willingness to take on new responsibilities, as necessary.
