Position Overview:
In this newly created position, the selected candidate would be responsible for managing billing and collection processes including proficiency with lien releases, change orders, stop notices, and bond claims. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
Specific Job Duties/Functions:
Invoice creation based on unitary billing Compile invoices onto contractors’ monthly pay applications and other special invoice forms Input daily usage of material and equipment into ERP system Engage in heavy email and phone communication with contractors Lead the collection process for outstanding invoices Complete special projects and reports as needed Meet month-end processing requirements Address questions and complaints from customers Perform other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts receivables or a related role Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems preferred (e.g., VISTA etc.) Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices Familiar with the construction industry and its specific needs Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with intermediate Excel skills Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication abilities Ability to work independently and demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills Capability to build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of people
Education Required:
High school diploma or equivalent required Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
Physical Requirements:
