Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to join our team in Miami, Florida. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to lead and oversee accounts payable operations, including supervising a small team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in high-volume AP processes and vendor management, along with a strong foundation in accounting practices.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the daily operations of the accounts payable team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Handle full-cycle accounts payable tasks, including three-way matching, payment processing, and vendor statement reconciliation.
- Audit expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Maintain and enhance vendor relationships, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Oversee invoice coding and account coding processes to ensure proper allocation.
- Review and reconcile accrued expenses and vendor accounts to maintain financial accuracy.
- Utilize accounting software systems, such as Sage and Deltek, for efficient AP management.
- Monitor and improve workflows to optimize accounts payable processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations and reporting.
- Train and mentor team members to develop their skills and ensure high performance.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.
- Proven expertise in full-cycle accounts payable processes, including three-way matching and vendor statement reconciliation.
- Familiarity with accounting software systems such as Sage, Deltek, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and invoice coding.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage and build relationships with vendors effectively.
- Experience supervising or mentoring staff is preferred.
- Proficiency in auditing and compliance with accounting standards.
