This position will oversee a team of Accounts Payable Coordinators to ensure the efficient, accurate, and timely processing of payables in accordance with established guidelines and procedures. Support policies, procedures, and documentation to provide a measure of consistency in processes, reporting and decisions by users.
Job Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
(other duties as assigned): Supervise and monitor invoice data entry into E1. Responsible for coaching, counseling, and support training new employees in accounts payable processes. Supports Accounts Payable data entry and supplier support teams to resolve issues and provide guidance to process improvements and efficiencies. Support the team to coordinate supplier invoice processing from data entry to payment for US and UK. Support RMS Accessory and Intercompany processing to E1. Performance management for direct reports Performs audits of work completed by Accounts Payable data entry to evaluate the completeness and accuracy of invoice processing. Complete month end batch posting, closing of month, and opening new month. Provide month-end reporting to various departments. Supervises 1099 (US) and 1042-S (Foreign) reporting and year-end procedures and ensures compliance with federal and states compliance laws. Provide information to the Accounts Payable Manager including metrics, project status, etc. Provides standard and ad-hoc reports to La-Z-Boy Accounting and Procurement teams monthly. Supports Accounts Payable Manager to provide requested items to internal and external auditors.
SCOPE & IMPACT
This position is responsible for supporting data entry and payment activities in systems such as Concur, ApplicationXtender Data Imaging, RMS, and Oracle E1. Accounts Payable Supervisor supports processing and payments of over 12,000 invoices monthly, impacting multiple locations. The Accounts Payable Supervisor supervises 5-8 accounts payable coordinators.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent 1-3 years of supervisory / leadership experience Proficiency with Microsoft Products including Excel, Outlook, and Word. Project management skills for large project planning, tracking, and time management. Strong verbal and written communication skills Extensive knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices, including latest technology, policies and procedures.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Certification in Accounts Payable Oracle E1 Experience with IRS form 1099 and 1042S Reporting
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Up to 8 direct reports.
