Position Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Manager/Senior Manager will be responsible for managing the invoicing/billing department. This dynamic leader will have oversight and ownership of all balance sheet related accounts receivable elements. In addition, this role will play a key part in our cash strategy as we continue to scale operations both within the US and internationally.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily AR activities to monitor timely and accurate invoicing Formulate SLA and KPIs for the AR department and ensure compliance and delivery to those standards Supervise, direct, and review work of AR Department staff Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions including writing accounting memos for audit purposes Review, approve, and prepare balance sheet account reconciliations Manage the annual external audit/review and periodic internal audits as related to AR Play a key role in implementing the AR subledger within Netsuite Develop, establish, and maintain general accounting financial policies and procedures and work with management and employees to ensure compliance Special projects as assigned Provide training to new and existing staff as needed The AR manager/Sr. Manager may assist all the departments in projects implemented by company headquarters The AR Manager/Sr. Manager will interface on a regular basis with assigned client groups as well as other functions across the organization as needed Other duties as assigned
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent years of experience preferred.
Experience:
Eight (8) to ten (10) years of Invoicing/billing experience; previous experience within a regulated clinical, medical, or pharmaceutical environment preferred. Previous management/supervisory experience required
Required Certifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/Certified Managerial Accountant (CMA) a plus MBA (not mandatory but preferred)
Required Skills:
Working knowledge of financial concepts, theory, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Advanced knowledge of Excel; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Strong experience with large enterprise resource planning (ERP) system (Oracle/Netsuite), and various accounting software packages. Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX compliance) preferred. Strong communication, problem solving, analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
