JOB SUMMARY
Pella Carolina, Inc is looking for an Accounts Receivable Manager for our Greensboro, NC location. We need a confident, talented individual who is focused on details and thrives on a challenge. The Accounts Receivable Manager will be responsible for the Accounts Receivable team leading various management initiatives and systems implementation projects. The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for the overall invoice, collection and cash application activities and timely management of all AR aging components. The Accounts Receivable Manager will also maintain and improve sustained cash flow through diligent and aggressive monitoring of our customer accounts. This role will direct initiatives to improve working capital, including account monitoring, aligning AR DSO, and ensuring effective and efficient processing of AR functions. This position is highly visible and requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, and firmly direct the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage day-to-day operations of the AR department; create, implement, and maintain policies, procedures and controls Set objectives for the Accounts Receivable team that align with the accounting department goals Training and mentoring of staff members in the department Accounts Receivable Ledger Monitor processing of invoices and cash application process Monitor processing of all debits and credit memos Oversee monthly statements and finance fees Responsible for the accuracy of the AR ledger and subledger Credit Conduct credit checks on new and potential customers Manage outstanding credit and overall exposure Develop reporting for visibility for the Leadership team Collections Negotiating with customers in cases when non-payment occurs Monitor collections efforts of staff members in the department Develop and oversee robust reporting for accounts receivable Monitor aging balances and recommend write-offs Remain informed of any legislative procedural training regarding debt collection Legal Manage all communication with outside legal counsel Oversee and manage all small claim court cases Cost analysis on all accounts within legal with recommendations included
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree preferred Eight (8) plus years of experience working in an accounting, billing, or accounts receivable department Three (3) years management experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with accounting software and MS Excel An eye for detail along with excellent analytical skills Strong time and people management skills
