Job Description

Job Description Advance Auto Parts is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to lead our Accounting AP and Cash functions. As the Manager, you will play a key role in collaborating with the AP operations, inventory, procurement, treasury, and other onshore/offshore teams to ensure all activities related to the AP and cash are accurately recorded and results are analyzed to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate effectively with the Accounts Payable operations, treasury and other teams to identify root causes and resolve issues. Foster strong working relationships across departments to ensure smooth operations. Participate in period close process, prepare and analyze accounts payable reports and cash fluctuations. Provide commentary where needed. Review and approve journal entries, run account analysis and period close exception reports. Review periodic account reconciliations, along with detailed review and monitoring of items categorized as unidentified differences. Supervise and mentor accounts payable & cash accounting team. Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high levels of productivity and accuracy. Liaise with Store General Managers or Asset Protection Managers on cash variances and other cash related adjustments. Identify and address financial risks related to accounts payable and cash functions. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Assist with ad hoc projects, as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred. 7+ years of experience in general accounting with a focus on accounts payable and cash. Experience working in a publicly traded company with offshore operations preferred. Experience using Oracle or similar ERP. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
