Short Description:
Train, orient, coordinates, and supervises Billing Office personnel in the performance of their job functions. Assists when Manager is out of the office, handles all patient complaint calls, payroll and daily operations. Coordinates external audits with staff and appropriate personnel in other departments. Manages all aspects of Outsource and Collection agencies. Reviews remits and creates check requests. Handles correspondence and issues with agencies. Handles supplies. Reviewing stock and ordering. Handles bankruptcies. Reviews and maintains commencements and discharges, notates accounts. Notifies agencies to cease collections. Handles all aspects of FinThrive. Maintains the web site and tickets received. Works with IT on connectivity issues. Handles claims for special programs, County Jail, CEED and SANE. Communicates with those programs with issues and payments. Maintains Intranet access for the payor links page. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Experience Required:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; 3-5 years preferred. Ability to communicate with patients, visitors and coworkers Demonstrated competency of the use of computer applications, hospital information systems, encoder and Microsoft Office applications.
