Job Description
Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to lead the AP function. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounts payable process, supervising AP staff, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AP procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead and improve processes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Supervise and manage the daily activities of the accounts payable team + Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and payment runs (check, ACH, wire) + Monitor AP aging and resolve outstanding issues with vendors + Review and approve journal entries, payment batches, and expense reports + Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures + Assist in month-end and year-end close related to AP functions + Reconcile AP subledger to general ledger and investigate variances + Provide support during audits and respond to requests for documentation + Collaborate with purchasing, receiving, and other departments to resolve discrepancies + Train and mentor AP team members, conduct performance reviews, and support career development + Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 3-7 years of progressive AP experience, including supervisory or management duties Strong understanding of AP processes and accounting principles Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
