Job Description Are you looking for your next opportunity? Sompo has a unique opportunity for an Accounts Payable Manager to join our North America Finance team. As the Accounts Payable Manager, you’ll oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) processing for our North America entities, ensuring timely and accurate invoice payments, employee expense reimbursements, and compliance with company policies. You’ll also lead a team of five to seven professionals, drive process improvements, and produce key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize AP operations.

Our business, your impact, our opportunity: What you’ll be doing: Manage and oversee the AP processes, including invoice payments, employee expense reimbursements, monthly close activities, forecasting, reconciliations, and system support. Ensure timely and accurate payments while delivering exceptional client service. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing AP team to achieve organizational goals Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance AP processes Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, to optimize the Procure-to-Pay process Produce and analyze regular KPIs and reports to effectively manage team performance and communicate results to management Maintain and ensure adherence to company policies for invoice processing and approvals Coordinate year-end activities with internal and external auditors Lead the annual 1099-MISC and NEC reporting activities for Payables Participate in project-related work as needed Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in AP processes to align goals with best practices What you’ll bring: Minimum of 7+ years of experience managing an Accounts Payable function within a sizable multidisciplinary and matrix team environment Expertise in 1099 tax reporting, with preferred experience using Concur Expense System and SAP Strong technical skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite Strong understanding of accounting principles, reporting requirements, and variance analysis Highly organized with attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently Effective communicator, capable of conveying ideas and collaborating across all levels of the organization Bachelor’s Degree in
Accounting or Finance Salary Range :
$115,000 – $150,000 Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
