Full Job Description Job Summary:
The AR Workers Compensation Manager overviews the activities of the Work Comp Follow-up Department by managing the workflow and processes of the department. The Manager promotes a work environment of high accountability and ownership. The Manager also practices performance management by coaching, mentoring, counseling, and developing employees for success. Will engage with Nurse Case Managers and Payer Reps regularly. Will oversee billing relationship with WC payers.

Essential Duties:
Supervises the activities of the department Manages department workflow and efficiently and effectively performs time management by delegating and prioritizes task Responds to billing calls and resolves billing issues. Facilitates accurate claim corrections Performs random Audits on teams individual batches for trends and re-education Reviews and keeps track of follow-up stats for review w/Management through productivity reports Distributes physician case reviews accordingly and reviews for accuracy before sending to management Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization. Maintain 1-2 day lag time with team and communicate any deterrents or issues to manager. Monitors assigned claim status and reports to leadership Performs daily Checklist attached for completion Trains new employees-monitors batches for New employees competency and communicates to manager Communicates with other supervisors to resolve issues Manage Time and Attendance Responsible for learning payer policies
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
High School diploma or
GED Experience Level:
3-5 years experience in Workers Comp billing and 3-5 years experience in orthopedic billing. Currently in a Lead position.
Knowledge:
Medical billing/collection practices, medical coding, insurance company operating and reimbursement procedure
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge:
Physician billing, knowledge of
CPT/ICD-10
coding. Knowledge of government and commercial billing requirements. General understanding of the various components of revenue cycle Our Commitment to
