Job Description
Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to join our team in West Columbia, South Carolina. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to lead and refine accounts payable processes while fostering a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing high transaction volumes, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the accounts payable team to ensure daily operations are executed efficiently and accurately.
- Address vendor discrepancies and streamline workflows to enhance departmental functionality.
- Develop and implement solutions for recurring challenges, presenting actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Mentor and coach team members to encourage growth and align goals with organizational objectives.
- Redesign and improve accounts payable processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and provide detailed reports on accounts payable activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments, such as Procurement and Accounting, to maintain seamless operations.
- Manage high volumes of data processing and ensure accuracy in coding, reconciliation, and auditing tasks.
- Utilize accounting software systems, including ADP and Concur, to streamline operations.
- Monitor and manage ACH payments and accrual accounting processes. Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor high-performing teams effectively.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a solution-driven mindset.
- Proficiency in accounting software systems, including ADP and Concur.
- Familiarity with accounts payable functions, accrual accounting, and auditing practices.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to manage high transaction volumes and build strong vendor relationships.
