Responsibilities :
Support the preparation of financial statements by reviewing and analyzing accounting records. Detect and report inconsistencies or issues in financial data. Provide findings and recommendations to the Auditor for corrective actions. Perform thorough reviews of financial documents, reports, and procedures to uncover discrepancies or inefficiencies. Gather and evaluate data to identify weak internal controls, redundant efforts, excess spending, potential fraud, or non-compliance with established laws and policies. Review account books and financial systems to ensure they follow standard accounting procedures and operate efficiently. Use audit sampling and internal control evaluations to assess compliance with relevant regulations and organizational policies. Assist audit supervisors by compiling data, keeping organized records, preparing documentation, and completing assigned tasks. Track progress on audit assignments, maintain quality standards, and ensure optimal use of resources and time. Develop audit working papers and preliminary reports that are clear, professional, and supported by facts. Prepare detailed audit summaries that highlight operational issues and suggest improvements. Advise on process improvements such as changes to management systems, financial procedures, or organizational workflows. Conduct inventory audits to verify the accuracy of accounting entries in journals and ledgers.
Requirements:
Three years of audit experience in a public accounting firm. Familiarity with accounting standards, company policies, and financial data analysis techniques. Strong understanding of customer service processes, including evaluating client needs and ensuring quality service. Ability to identify issues in financial documentation and propose practical solutions. Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills.
