Position Summary The Internal Audit Coordinator, under moderate supervision and with assistance of the Vice President of Compliance will have the following responsibilities related to the enterprise’s annual risk assessment: Will lead the annual risk assessment process, identifying, assessing, and prioritizing risks across the organization. Will collaborate with key stakeholders to understand emerging risks, changes in the business environment, and their impact on the risk profile. Develop a risk assessment report summarizing key risks and present the risk assessment report to senior management and the audit committee. Essential Functions Incumbent will plan, design, and execute risk-based audits that focus on high-risk areas identified during the risk assessment process. Incumbent will develop audit programs, procedures, and schedules to ensure thorough examination and evaluation of internal controls. Incumbent will perform audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes to assess effectiveness, identify performance gaps, and recommend improvements in collaboration with operational management. Regarding specific audit duties, the incumbent will be expected to perform the following with minimal supervision Lead the development and maintenance of the internal audit plan, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and risk priorities. Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and follow-up on corrective actions to ensure timely resolution. Collaborate with external auditors, providing necessary support and information during external audits and reviews. Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure audits remain relevant and effective. Assist in special projects, investigations, and other duties assigned by the VP of Compliance. To ensure stakeholder engagement, the incumbent will be responsible for: Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering a culture of risk awareness and control consciousness. Providing guidance and support to departments in developing effective internal controls and risk management practices. Communicating audit results and risk assessment findings clearly and effectively to senior management and the ILS Audit Committee. Performs other duties as required or assigned. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with 2 years of auditing or regulatory compliance experience, or an associate’s degree with 3 or more years of auditing experience, preferred Certification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or other relevant certifications are preferred. Two years of applicable auditing or regulatory compliance experience. Required Skills Knowledge of Treadway Commission’s

framework, and knowledge of risk assessment procedures. Knowledge of general standards, fieldwork, and reporting components related to performance audits and methods and techniques of operational auditing. Knowledge of principles and practices of fraud analysis and prevention. Knowledge of statistical methods and techniques of research. Knowledge of HIPAA controls. Highly professional with superior verbal and written communications skills. Highly proficient in MS Office, including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Team attitude – no challenge is too big or task too small. Successful when working in environments where you need to “roll-up your sleeves” and own outcomes. Not intimidated by working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team environment.
