Primary Job Duties Develop comprehensive audit plans based on risk assessments and the organization’s strategic objectives. Determine the scope, objectives, and procedures for individual audits, including defining access requirements for outsourced audit firms. Manage and oversee audit fieldwork, whether conducted by internal teams or outsourced firms, in accordance with professional standards and internal audit methodologies. Ensures that concise audit work papers are properly documenting audit procedures performed, evidence obtained, and conclusions reached, regardless of whether the work is performed by internal or outsourced teams. Manages audit committee administration, including but not limited to presenting, managing auditees, Audit Committee directors and Regulators expectations. Lead and supervise Internal Auditors, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback. Identify and assess key business risks and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls designed to mitigate those risks. Document and communicate identified control weaknesses and make recommendations for improvement. Stay up to date about changes in regulations, accounting standards, and best practices related to internal controls and risk management. Prepare and assist, when necessary, with well-written audit reports summarizing audit findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Communicate audit results effectively to management, including presenting findings and recommendations. Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations and assess their effectiveness. Maintain open and professional communication with auditees and stakeholders. Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the internal audit function. Contribute to the development and refinement of audit methodologies, tools, and techniques. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in auditing. Participate in quality assurance reviews and implement improvement initiatives. Implement Quality Assurance best practices as a benchmark to commitment to quality. Responsible for completing annual training program assigned. Performs other functions and/or duties as assigned.

Job Requirements Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Master’s degree in relevant field preferred.

Experience:

Eight (8) to Ten (10) years of progressive audit experience, including at least, four (4) years’ experience in a manager role. Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent is highly preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS), auditing standards, and internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO). Experience in risk assessment methodologies and techniques. Proficiency in data analysis and audit software. Advance computer skills including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization. Strong presentation skills with the ability to propose ideas, changes, negotiations and/or report the department’s progress to all levels of the Bank (Board of Directors to internal employees). Experience in the ability of conveying technical concepts and ideas to non-technical individuals. Experience in efficiently and effectively managing a department to align with the objectives of the Bank. Must be proactive and innovative, capable of leading change management initiatives and effectively prioritizing and accomplishing objectives with tight deadlines. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
