Position Summary We are hiring a detail-oriented Yard Auditor to support our operations by ensuring the accuracy of trailer documentation, maintaining yard inventory control, and enforcing compliance protocols. This position plays a vital role in ensuring smooth yard operations and upholding safety standards. Key Responsibilities Audit & Verification Perform routine audits of yard inventory (trailers and containers) to verify placement and documentation accuracy Cross-check physical inventory with SAP system records to identify discrepancies Report and escalate audit findings with clear recommendations Documentation & Reporting Maintain detailed logs of inbound, outbound, and on-site trailers and containers Prepare and submit audit reports highlighting trends and areas for improvement Safety & Compliance Conduct yard inspections to identify and report safety hazards or policy violations Ensure adherence to internal safety policies and industry regulations Coordination & Communication Collaborate with yard coordinators, warehouse teams, and drivers to streamline operations Assist in training on documentation standards, SAP systems, and compliance Yard Operations Organize trailer placements and shuttle those needing repair to off-site maintenance facilities using a DOT-approved spotter truck Qualifications Valid Class A CDL (required for yard truck operation) Valid DOT Medical Card Active registration in the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse Minimum 2 years of yard jockey/spotter experience OR 3 years of verifiable CDL Class A driving experience (local, regional, or OTR) Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screening PPE Requirements Steel-toe or composite-toe boots required Benefits and Compensation (Available after 90 days) Hourly pay: $20.00/hour Medical, dental, vision , and ancillary insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays Opportunities for growth and development within BWT Schedule Monday – Friday 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Statement Red Baron Transportation , a division of BWT , is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer .
