HMS believes in providing clients with accounting services in a personalized, timely manner. Therefore, it is critical for our firm to hire individuals that will be dedicated to our clients and enjoy providing the accounting services that they need. Since our team is the backbone of the firm, we make sure team members maintain a work life balance and are appreciated. Therefore, we do not require more than 50 billable hours during busy season.

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an audit accountant to join our team and grow with us. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are just starting their careers in accounting or auditing or those with up to three years of experience looking to further their skills and knowledge. You will be joining a team of dedicated, hard-working professionals that are proud to be a part of the HMS team. You’ll be assisting in the planning, execution, and completion of audits, reviews, and compilations. We service clients in industries including construction, franchisors, nonprofits, and others. Our team is exposed to a variety of areas of each engagement early on so that you have the opportunity to get a fuller picture of a client’s financial statements. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong desire to develop their accounting and auditing skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (recent graduates are encouraged to apply) 0-3 years of experience in accounting Understand GAAP, other comprehensive basis of accounting, and financial statement presentation and disclosure requirements Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong organizational and analytical abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word) Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
