Job Description
Description We are seeking an experienced and strategic Internal Audit Manager to join a dynamic public manufacturing company headquartered in Marlborough, MA. In this role, you will play a critical part in leading and executing the company’s internal audit activities, safeguarding organizational assets, improving operations, and ensuring compliance with internal controls, regulations, and public reporting requirements. This position provides an opportunity to work in a collaborative, high-growth environment with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and leadership development. Key Responsibilities + Audit Strategy & Execution + Develop and execute risk-based audit plans. + Oversee audits for financial, operational, and compliance controls. + Ensure compliance with SOX, GAAP, SEC, and internal policies. + Team & Stakeholder Engagement + Manage and mentor a team of audit professionals. + Report findings to leadership and the Audit Committee. + Collaborate with external auditors and key business units. + Process Improvement + Identify opportunities to enhance internal controls and efficiency. + Implement recommendations in partnership with cross-functional teams. Requirements Qualifications +
Certifications:
CIA, CPA, or equivalent (required). +
Education:
Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Advanced degrees preferred. +
Experience:
5-8 years in audit (manufacturing preferred). Strong knowledge of SOX, GAAP, and risk management. + Proficiency in audit tools, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and data analytics. + Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
