Job Description The Senior Internal Auditor will execute (and in some cases lead) financial, operational, and governance audits. The objective of these audits is to ensure sound business and control principles are in place and working effectively, identify opportunities to improve business control practices and ensure management is performing their responsibilities in compliance with applicable Company Policies and procedures. The Senior Internal Auditor will also be responsible for developing/ overseeing test plans of remediation actions related to critical observations across a wide array of audits. This role will also oversee certain aspects of SOX 404 testing as needed.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the audit manager / in-charge with planning, execution and reporting for each audit as follows: Ability to identify internal and external risk factors, control objectives and control activities to assist with the development of audit scope, objectives, and work programs during the planning phase of each audit. Evaluate the adequacy of internal control and processes through detailed testing. Properly document work papers to support audit observations for review by audit management. Effectively communicate audit observations, issues and related root causes with audit management and auditee to ensure factual accuracy of the observation and risk is clearly articulated. Work with Management to recommend value-added revisions to controls, processes, systems, and procedures, and assist in-charge in preparing audit reports. Plan and execute test plans of remediation actions related to critical observations across financial, operational and governance audits. This will include performing walkthroughs with business owners, identify residual risk, developing audit programs and communicating testing results to the audit manager. Assist in testing certain areas of Sarbanes-Oxley where applicable
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience within Life Sciences or related sector Excellent organizational and project management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines Able to work under general supervision and work collaboratively with diverse teams Expanded knowledge of audit methodology, risk assessment and internal control concepts Ability to analyze process workflows and identify gaps and bottleneck Ability to perform data analytics, SOC1 reviews and understand ITGCs CPA or equivalent a plus
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field 3+ years of auditing experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience CPA, CIA or CISA certifications or equivalent a plus Top tier public accounting firm experience preferred. #LI-LN1
Pay Range:
$89,600 – $134,400

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
