The Affordable Housing Audit Manager will oversee and manage audit processes for affordable housing projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
This position requires a strategic thinker who can lead audit teams, analyze financial data, and provide insights to improve operational efficiencies while maintaining compliance with HUD and other regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
Manage and lead audit teams in assessing the financial and operational aspects of affordable housing projects.
Conduct audits to ensure compliance with HUD regulations and low-income housing guidelines.
Analyze financial statements and reports to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure audit findings are addressed and implemented.
Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management and regulatory bodies.
Stay updated on changes in affordable housing regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in auditing, with a focus on affordable housing or similar sectors preferred.
Strong understanding of HUD regulations and low-income housing requirements.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
