An Auditor I, is responsible for conducting internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of an organization’s internal controls, risk management processes, and financial operations. They review financial statements, analyze data, and identify any discrepancies or potential areas of risk. Auditor I may also recommend improvements to processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance. They typically work under the supervision of more experienced auditors and may assist in preparing audit reports and communicating findings to management. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of auditing principles and practices are essential for success in this role. Under supervision of a Senior or Managing Auditor, evaluates internal controls and performs basic to more complex assignments/tasks as outlined in audit programs for assigned areas. May be delegated responsibility for components of larger audits. Contributes to audit planning work prepared by Senior Auditor level or higher. Assists in documenting processes and controls, performs testing and prepares audit papers and support. Drafts audit results including any control weaknesses, financial impacts and other issues. Proposes recommendations for Internal Audit management for consideration. Contributes to a clear, concise, accurate and timely audit report, addressing audit findings and recommendations. Performs special reviews and projects or other assignments at the request of Internal Audit management. Establishes and maintains a professional working relationship with all members of the Internal Audit Department and interacts with members of all other

REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent required. Knowledge and Skills Two to four years of internal auditing or public accounting experience required. Knowledge of GAAP and GAAS, testing approaches required. Computer proficiency (MS Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) required. Knowledge of

COSO, IIA, GAGAS

internal audit standards and experience with ACL data analysis software is desirable. Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations CPA or CIA desired, with the requirement that CIA certification be attained within two years of hire.
