Internal Auditor

Jersey City, NJ Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and execution of complex internal audits and contribute to special projects and ongoing initiatives
Conduct a wide range of testing activities for internal audits, documenting procedures and results, and identifying control gaps and inefficiencies
Oversee the fact-checking process with auditees and ensure the preparation of accurate and clear audit workpapers
Develop detailed internal audit engagement budgets, monitor actual time versus budget, and flag any overruns
Communicate audit findings and issues to the audit team in a timely manner and contribute to the overall evaluation and communication of audit results
Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing performance feedback and fostering a respectful and professional work environment.
Skills Required:
Minimum of three years of recent experience in internal/external audit or a related field
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
Proven experience in IT, operational, and/or financial auditing or risk management
Solid understanding of risks and controls
Experience in Artificial Intelligence and Internal Audit is a plus, but not required.
