Overview
This position applies knowledge of auditing and accounting theory to develop and implement audits and related assignments under moderate supervision as a member of an audit teamAll job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Comply with the Code of Ethics of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards).
Assist in the execution of operational, compliance, and reporting audits and work related to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (“SOX”) testing program.
Participate in the planning process for engagements, including risk assessment and scoping.
Participate in conducting fieldwork procedures and data analytics that provide for the proper study and evaluation of the system of internal controls designed to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy and reliability of data, monitor adherence to prescribed procedures, and assess the efficiency of operations and the application of sound business practices.
Conduct assigned engagements in a professional manner with due professional care and in accordance with an approved engagement schedule.
Create work papers in accordance with department standards.
Maintain and enhance knowledge, skills, and other competencies through continuing professional development including self-study and company-sponsored training programs.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Requirements
Strong critical thinking skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong Organizational skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
Education and Experience
College degree or 2 years of auditing experience preferred.

The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective’s footprint. Additional considerations include relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance, and business needs.
Pay Range
USD $69,000.00 – USD $95,000.00 /Yr.
