Job Overview Auditor position will be required to performvarious financial functions such as examining fiscal and accountingrecords (bank statements, financial ledgers, financial statementsand payroll records). The Auditor will review food service receiptsand invoices to determine allowability of expenses and writereports summarizing the results of the review. This positionrequires good organizational and time management skills and aprofessional approach to working with program staff and the public.
Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft OfficePrograms are required. This position will not supervise; occasionaltravel may be required.
Responsibilities:
Perform basicbookkeeping, accounting and financial record keeping procedures.
Some knowledge of financial terminology, payroll procedures, andbudget preparation. Ability to compute, classify, and recordnumerical data to keep financial records complete. • Performroutine review and verification of financial data and accountingrecords. Check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postingspertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, including but not limitedto, Outlook, Word and Excel. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree inAccounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience ininternal audits or financial auditing within a governmental orpublic accounting environment is preferred. Strong knowledge offinancial management principles and risk management practices.
Experience working in a fast paced, office setting, conducting awide range of auditing tasks to support program operations. Onlinepayment processing system such as the CACFP Information and PaymentSystem (CIPS), and management storage systems such as, Docstar -eFile Management Software.
