seeks Assurance Director in New York, NY.

Job Duties:

Oversee the completion of both public and non-public audit engagements. Apply advanced knowledge of business functions, processes and strategies to provide accounting and auditing services, solutions and advice to clients. Identify and discuss key financial and non-financial performance measures during audit engagements. Apply advanced technical knowledge of governing principles of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) to sophisticated client transactions. Supervise Associates, Senior Associates, and Managers.

Job Requirements:

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Tax, Business Administration, Finance, or related and one (1) year of experience in the job offered, or as an Auditor, or in related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Tax, Business Administration, Finance, or related and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered, or as an Auditor, or in related occupation. Must have experience with the following: Resolving Complex Accounting issues; Applying GAAS, GAAP, DOL, ERISA, SEC and PCAOB reporting rules; Public accounting; Reviewing engagement profitability, including billings and collections; Microsoft Office products, including Windows, Word, Excel and Powerpoint; and, Using various assurance applications and research tools.

Must have CPA certification OR sufficient educational/experience requirements (as determined by state Board of Accountancy) to receive CPA within 24 months of hire or promotion.

Rate of pay:
