Home Energy Auditor BA-P Slate Brick Spring Valley, NY 10977

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed home energy audits in compliance with BPI standards Perform blower door tests, combustion safety testing, and thermal imaging Identify opportunities for energy savings through insulation, air sealing, and ventilation upgrades Create energy models and reports using software (e.g., TREAT, NEAT, or similar) Recommend weatherization improvements to customers Prepare documentation for state, federal, or utility energy efficiency programs (e.g., NYSERDA, WAP, IRA rebates) Work closely with the insulation crew to ensure upgrades are installed to spec Submit required paperwork and forms to qualify customers for rebates or funding

Requirements:

BPI Certification required (Building Analyst, Envelope Professional, etc.) Knowledge of insulation techniques and energy-saving methods Familiarity with state or utility energy efficiency programs a plus (e.g., NYSERDA, WAP, LIHEAP) Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with customers Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Valid driver’s license

Preferred Skills:

Experience with home performance software (e.g., EnergyPro, TREAT, etc.) Previous field experience with insulation or HVAC upgrades Spanish/Yiddish language skills a plus (optional, if applicable to your area)

Up to $28.80 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
