Role:

We areseeking an experienced Director of Internal Audit & SOX Complianceto lead and manage the company’s Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) complianceprogram while also overseeing internal audit activities. This rolewill be primarily focused on ensuring compliance with SOX 404requirements, managing internal controls over financial reporting(ICFR), and collaborating with key stakeholders across Finance, IT,Engineering and Operations. Additionally, the role will overseeselect internal audit functions related to financial andoperational risks. The company’s SOX program is well-establishedbut ready for optimization, making this an exciting opportunity fora strategic and hands-on leader.

What You Will Do:
  • Lead the SOXcompliance program for business process and IT, including riskassessments, control design, testing, and remediation.
  • Lead andmentor a team of three FTEs as well as contractors, fostering acollaborative and innovative environment.
  • Partner with internalstakeholders and help them navigate through change management andidentifying design changes to SOX controls
  • Work closely withexternal auditors, ensuring effective coordination and facilitatingefficient testing of controls.
  • Work closely with co-sourceservice providers to ensure timely completion of SOX program withinbudget
  • Work with stakeholders to conduct impact assessments androot cause analysis for control deficiencies
  • Navigate and managedeficiency mitigation efforts, ensuring timely resolution andpresentation of fully formed mitigation plans to external auditors.
  • Identify opportunities for improved scoping, controlrationalization, and optimization to streamline processes whilemaintaining compliance.
  • Identify process improvements and workwith management towards remediation
  • Provide SOX training andguidance to control owners and key stakeholders.
  • Prepare andpresent SOX compliance reports to executive leadership and theAudit Committee.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments and overseeselect internal audit engagements.
  • Lead pre-system implementationreviews along with other special IA projects
  • Implement tools toautomate SOX testing
What You Will Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree inAccounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. One or morerelevant professional certifications, such as CPA, CIA, or CISA.
  • 13 years of experience in SOX compliance, internal audit, orfinancial controls, with experience in a public listed technologycompany.
  • Integrated audit experience at a Big 4 or similaraccounting firm, with a strong understanding of auditmethodologies, risk assessment, deficiency mitigation and controltesting.
  • Experience in working with AuditBoard
  • Comfortable in afast-paced, ever-changing and rapid-growth environment
  • You are aself-starter who is results driven and possesses a strong sense ofurgency in a fast paced environment
  • Proven ability to workcollaboratively with cross-functional teams and external auditorsand build trust quickly.
  • Strong project management andcommunication skills, with the ability to drive complianceinitiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently navigatedeficiency mitigation efforts, ensuring timely and effectiveremediation.
  • Experience refining, optimizing and automating theexisting control environment while maintaining compliance.
  • Demonstrated history of leading a team of professionals anddeveloping and growing your team through skills development andincreasing scope
