They provide valuable insights in managing risk andimproving business performance and overall financial reportingprocesses. They are responsible for Associates’ professionaldevelopment and coaching. The Audit Manager is heavily involved innew and existing client business development and communityinvolvement activities. They provide exceptional client service asa trusted business advisor. Responsibilities Lead and supervise theexecution of audit engagements of clients across multipleindustries Review and audit business transaction cycles such astreasury, cash, capital expenditures, and other income and expensesCollaborate to plan engagement objectives and an audit strategythat complies with professional standards and appropriatelyaddresses risk Understand the scope of the engagement and provideinput on client retention and fee structure Participate in thepresentation of client financial statements and audit results tothose responsible with client oversight Visit client onsite forrequired audits and/or other financial inquiries as needed Answerclient calls and emails in a timely manner and with asolution-oriented approach Produce and review quality service andstatements in a timely manner Research audit issues and reviewfinancial information in audit software Read prior year financialstatements and client website and actively seek out informationfrom team members to gain understanding of client business andindustry Proactively inform engagement team of work status andrequest information from client as needed Ensure clientdeliverables are met within expectations and set deadlines Identifyand introduce other firm services based on client needs anddiscovered opportunities Supervise Associates and Interns onengagements and provide guidance on an ongoing basis; as well asactively communicate with engagement Partners Lead in businessdevelopment and community activities to help identify and researchopportunities on new and existing clients Keep up to date withlocal and national business and economic issues Participate incontinuous learning activities and active research to improve anddevelop technical expertise; apply learned concepts Collaboratewith leader to identify opportunities for efficiencies andproactive engagement management Education, Experience andCertifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting CPA certificationrequired 5 years’ experience in preparation of reviewed andcompiled financial statements and applied working knowledge of USGAAP preferred Prior experience in coaching and trainingentry-level accounting professionals required Demonstrated abilityto take the lead on client engagements and develop new and existingbusiness Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products andtechnologically-savvy Self-motivated and willingness to enhanceaccounting and advisory knowledge Excellent attention to detailwith the ability to manage multiple projects Interested in hearingmore?
