Remote HCC Coding Auditor Overview:

The Coding Quality Auditor willbe responsible for validating and reviewing Hierarchical ConditionCategory (HCC) risk adjustable charts through retrospective chartreviews. The role focuses on ensuring accurate, complete, andcompliant ICD-10 coding for risk adjustment submission to CMS.Candidates must apply clinical documentation standards and industryguidelines to support coding decisions. This role contributes toaudit accuracy, process improvements, and helps maintain compliancewith state/federal regulations and internal policies.

Remote HCCCoding Auditor Qualifications:

1. Proficiency in

ICD-10-CM

codingwith strong understanding of HCC risk adjustment 2. Attention todetail and accuracy in retrospective chart reviews 3. Familiaritywith CMS coding guidelines and HIPAA-compliant data handlingCandidates must have experience working with Microsoft Office toolsand industry-standard coding platforms. Prior experience inretrospective risk adjustment audits and validation is preferred.

All audits must be performed in compliance with HIPAA privacy andsecurity rules. AA/AS degree or equivalent experience. Completionof an AAPC or AHIMA coding with a minimum of 3 years of relevantcoding/audit experience. Must have a Coding Certification program(e.g., CPC, CCS-P, CRC)
